Better BetTAR - Tar and Glue Remover

Better Car Care BetTAR is an intensive solvent-based cleaner developed to remove stubborn tar deposits, adhesive residue and other sticky contamination from vehicle paintwork.

Its powerful ready-to-use formula softens bonded contamination so it can be safely wiped away using a soft microfibre cloth. It is ideal for tackling tar spots around lower body panels, sills and wheel arches, as well as adhesive left behind by stickers, badges and decals.

BetTAR is supplied ready to use and must not be diluted. It is available in both 1-litre and economical 5-litre bottles.

Directions for Use

Ensure the vehicle is cool and positioned out of direct sunlight. Apply BetTAR to the affected area and allow it to dwell briefly, where safe to do so.

Gently remove the softened contamination using a clean, soft and colourfast microfibre cloth. Repeat the process if necessary rather than rubbing the surface aggressively.

After treatment, wipe the area with a clean damp cloth to remove any remaining product residue, then wash or rinse the surface thoroughly.

Important Information

Use neat—this product cannot be diluted.

Do not use on recently painted panels or areas that have received a SMART repair. Exercise particular care around plastics, delicate finishes and unfamiliar surfaces. If compatibility is uncertain, always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first.

Tar removers can affect waxes, sealants and other protective products. The treated area may therefore need to be protected again after use.

This product is flammable. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, away from heat, sparks and other sources of ignition. Wear suitable protective gloves and eye protection.
